Reserved and discreet, Muette is a table lamp inspired by the ready to wear universe. The textile envelope plays with the curved aluminium frame for a natural fit around the base, and dress the light source. Muette can thus easily wash herself or switch her outfit. At the outskirts of her envelope, a large padded collar conceals a zip. Once opened, Muette reveals her inner lines and the collar can be formed. Besides allowing Muette to graphically express herself, the collar and the zip give a natural rigidity permitting to adjust the brightness of the light depending on the use. With this object the question of the gestural patrimony of individuals arises. By exploiting moves usually geared towards the ready to wear universe, Muette meets users unconcious and triggers a silent interaction between them and her.
